Sonoma, Calif. May 2, 2022 – Bartholomew Estate Winery, producer of estate wines from the birthplace of California viticulture located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, announced their first solo art exhibit in their Gallery featuring renowned artist Keith Wicks, founder of Sonoma Plein
Air Foundation. The exhibit will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, May 28 through June 5, 2022.Mr. Wicks will be available, in person, at the winery’s Gallery on May 28th and 29th, as well as June 4th and 5th. A portion of the proceeds from art sales from this exhibit will be donated tothe Sonoma Plein Air Foundation.
Bartholomew Estate and Keith Wicks having been working together to bring great art to Sonoma since shortly after Bartholomew Estate Winery opened their doors three years ago. The winery currently donates space to exhibit a rotating collection of beautiful works for many Sonoma Plein Air artists in their remodeled art gallery within their 100-year-old mission-style winery building. In turn, Sonoma Plein Air donates 25% of the proceeds from the art sales to support art education in local schools and community organizations.
“We love working with Keith and Sonoma Plein Air. Keith’s solo show here is the first of what we hope to be a series of solo shows featuring talented artists in our Gallery,” said Anna Pope, winery co-owner and trustee of the Frank H. Bartholomew Foundation (owner and operator of the non-profit Bartholomew Park). “We will continue to partner together to establish the best art and wine experience in Sonoma Valley,” added Wicks.
Guests are invited to stop by the Gallery at Bart Estate, located at 1000 Vineyard Lane, Sonoma, to view the show. The winery also offers seated wine tastings, by appointment, featuring flights of wine from their organically farmed estate vineyards, crafted by their winemaker, Kevin Holt. Bartholomew Estate Winery opened its doors in April of 2019 as a brand new winery in the heart of the 375-acre Bartholomew Park in Sonoma Valley, California. Bartholomew Estate was formed by Anna Pope, trustee of the Frank H. Bartholomew Foundation (owner and operator of the non-profit Bartholomew Park), and noted winemaker, Kevin Holt, to honor the legacy of Frank and Antonia Bartholomew. In 1943, the Bartholomews purchased the land, only to discover that it was the birthplace of California viticulture; the center of Count Agoston Harazthy’s rancho that contained the sites of his residence and original winery.
